Asian Le Mans Series: Nielsen Racing asserts its domination in Dubai

The Nielsen Racing #4 Oreca 07-Gibson triumphed in the first two legs of the 2022 Asian Le Mans Series in Dubai this weekend.

Nielsen Racing could not have wished for a better start to the season. Rodrigo Sales, Matt Bell and Ben Hanley took the upper hand from the start and never looked back. “We’re halfway there. We put enormous effort into getting this programme off the ground and it’s really good to notch up two wins. I think the team has shown what we are capable of,” said Matt Bell. In the opening race, the British team was followed by Graff Racing, then Highclass Racing, with the latter taking second place in the second race.
In LMP3, CD Sport claimed victory in Saturday’s race with the #3 Ligier JS P320-Nissan but on Sunday the #8 Ligier claimed another victory for Nielsen Racing.
The weekend’s GT winners were Inception Racing (#7 McLaren 720 GT3) and Rinaldi Racing (#55 Ferrari 488 GT3).
