In 2013, the race was won by KCMG, with Akash Nandy, James Winslow and Gary Thompson at the wheel of the Chinese team's Morgan-Nissan, first of its country to have competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year. Victorious in the LM GTE Pro class in June, the Italian team AFCorse reached the second step on the podium thanks to Michele Rugolo, Andrea Bertolini and Steven Wyatt (Ferrari 458 Italia).
The Inje race took place over three hours, like the other races in 2014. After this inaugural stop of the season on July 20th, the Asian Le Mans Series will continue as follows: Fuji (Japan, August 31st), Shanghai (China, October 11th), Buriram (Thailand, November 23rd) and Sepang (Malaysia, December 7).
