Since 2021, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has rewarded a competitor's commitment to social and environmental responsibility (CSR). This year, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary, 22 dossiers representing a positive impact on society were submitted.
The Sustainable Endurance Award by DHL was given to Porsche Penske Motorsport for its Racing for Charity programme. For each lap of the circuit completed by the team's three factory Porsche 963s, €750 were paid into a special fund on behalf of the Racing for Charity campaign. The German marque's Hypercars covered a total of 733 laps, amounting to an impressive €549,750. Porsche then rounded the figure up to a stunning €911,000 as a nod to one of its most iconic models. The funds were donated to Kinderherzen retten e.V., Interplast Germany e.V. and the Ferry Porsche Foundation (created in May 2018 in honour of the carmaker's 70th anniversary.
The Sustainable Endurance Award by DHL podium was rounded out by AF Corse for its global CSR approach and for obtaining an ISO certification in 2021, and by Corvette Racing for its freight decarbonisation initiative.
Team WRT and AF Corse won the Sustainable Endurance Award by DHL in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Two of Porsche Penske Motorsports' three factory Porsche 963s entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary. In addition to competing for overall victory, the drivers executed laps of the circuit for a good cause: for each lap completed by the three German Hypercars, €750 were paid into a special fund. The six official Porsche drivers taking the wheel for the event were Dane Cameron, Frédéric Makowiecki, Michael Christensen, Kévin Estre, Laurens Vanthoor, André Lotterer, Felipe Nasr, Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy.
