The chequered flag brought the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans to a close at 16:00 yesterday, with AF Corse #50 Ferrari 499P taking the honours. The high calibre of racing at the French endurance classic was on full display as nine hypercars finished on the same lap, elating the 329,000 spectators present.
Alpine, BMW, Cadillac, Isotta Fraschini, Lamborghini, Peugeot, Porsche and Toyota all had their sights set on the win. However, after a race marred by unstable weather conditions, Ferrari clinched its eleventh victory. And the Ferrari 499P secured its place in history.
