It’s the big day at last! The flag will go down to start the 86th 24 Hours of Le Mans at 15:00 after a busy morning. And why not pop along to the concert area near the Dunlop Bridge for a musical interlude this evening?
After a few hours of fun away from the circuit with the Drivers Parade yesterday afternoon, we return to the serious stuff today with the warm-up that gives the teams an opportunity to get back into race mode. A programme of support races follows, beginning with the Aston Martin Festival, and then the second Road To Le Mans race.
The tension will begin to build from 13:00 as the cars are brought out onto the grid for the 24 Hours of Le Mans starting procedure, reaching a climax at 15:00. The Race Village and funfair are all part of the Le Mans experience. Take some time out from the track action for a ride on the dodgems, do a sport of shopping, visit the Fan Zone and grab a bite to eat before heading to the concert area to see Yarol & Black Minou who will warm up the crowd before Scottish band Texas take to the stage. Then back to the track for the magic of Le Mans by night!
