The 62 cars entered in the 90th 24 Hours will hit the track today for free practice and qualifying sessions, as will competitors in the support races Road to Le Mans, Ligier European Series and Porsche Sprint Challenge.
From 14:00 to 17:00 then from 22:00 to midnight, the teams will take advantage of five hours of track time to fine-tune their cars for the race. Their marching orders will include long stints and tests related to aerodynamics, tyres and fuel consumption. Naturally, drivers will be tempted to push their cars to assess potential at the unique 24 Hours circuit.
During qualifying scheduled from 19:00 to 20:00, the action will ramp up as drivers hit the track for a race against the clock. The top six in each class will qualify for tomorrow's Hyperpole.
Created in 2016, Road to Le Mans is the highlight of the Michelin Le Mans Cup season every year. This race is reserved for cars in compliance with the FIA GT3 and LMP3 regulations and represents the ACO's desire to set up benchmark events to help drivers advance. The entrants will participate in two one-hour free practice sessions, the first from 12:25 to 13:25 and the second from 20:30 to 21:30.
For the first time in its history, the Ligier European Series is to be hosted at the 24 Hours circuit. This one-make series was launched in 2020 for futuristic looking Ligier JSP4 prototypes and small Ligier JS2 R GTs designed specifically for racing. This round at Le Mans is the third of six races on the 2022 series calendar. Competitors will take part in two free practices from 10:05 to 10:50 then from 17:30 to 18:15.
This championship created in 2021 by Porsche Club Motorsport France is for gentlemen drivers seeking to gain top-level racing experience. It constitutes the base of the Porsche Motorsport pyramid in France, lower but no less important than Porsche Carrera Cup France. The drivers will take the track today for a first free practice from 09:00 to 09:45 and a second from 11:20 to 11:55.

This year, the group will hit the stage with an over-the-top show including their greatest hits and tracks from their new LP La Part des Lions. KYO has sold 2.5 million albums, 150 million downloads, won three Victoires de la Musique Awards (2004) and four NRJ Music Awards (2004). The group takes the stage at 20:00 near the Goodyear grandstands and Dunlop Bridge.
