24 Hours of Le Mans - Toyota Gazoo Racing take the trophy back home!

Toyota Gazoo Racing and its Toyota TS050 Hybrid triumphed at the 87th 24 Hours of Le Mans, the FIA WEC 2018-19 World Endurance Championship Super Finale. The race trophy and the winning car are now safely back in Cologne (Germany), home to the Toyota Motorsport GmbH headquarters.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid received a hero’s welcome at the team’s workshop in Cologne. The 24 Hours of Le Mans trophy can now be put safely back into its display case until June 2020, when the Japanese team will be back in Sarthe to defend its title.

The #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid was driven by Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Fernando Alonso. And let’s not forget that Toyota Gazoo Racing scored a 1-2 finish with the line-up in the #7 car, Conway, Kobayashi and Lopez just 16 seconds behind the winners.
