24 Hours of Le Mans - Prodrive (Aston Martin) moves into new headquarters

Last July, to mark the company

Located alongside the M40 motorway like the former site, the new building will not only be home to the Aston Martin Vantages taking part in the FIA World Endurance Championship, but also the company’s non-motorsport activities which generate two-thirds of Prodrive’s turnover. Over 500 people are employed by Prodrive today.

“This is the beginning of a new era for the company,” said David Richards, Prodrive chairman. “For the first time, all our motorsport, advanced technology and manufacturing operations will be under one roof in a modern purpose-built facility. This will enable us to operate far more efficiently and to increase the collaboration and technology transfer between our businesses.”

At last year’s 82nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin Racing scooped the LM GTE Am title with a Vantage V8 driven by the Danish trio of Kristian Poulsen, Nicki Thiim and David Heinemeier Hansson. This year, the British constructor is lining up three cars in LM GTE Pro, plus two more in LM GTE Am.
