• Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley (Porsche 919 Hybrid) won their first World Endurance Championship title.
• KCMG were the first Chinese team to win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They claimed victory in the LM P2 class with the Oreca 05-Nissan.
• SMP Racing were the first Russian team to win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They took the LM GTE Am class with the Ferrari 458 Italia.
• Sébastien Bourdais claimed his first victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring.
• Nelson Panciatici, Paul-Loup Chatin and Tom Dillmann drove the Alpine A450b to its first victory in LM P2 at the 6 Hours of Shanghai.
• The Porsche 911 driven by Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet and Richard Lietz was the first GT to win American race Petit Le Mans.
• Young New Zealander Mitch Evans made a winning début at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, with Jota Sport’s Gibson-Nissan.
• Patrick Dempsey took his first win in LM GTE Am at the 6 Hours of Fuji.
• French constructor Oreca claimed the top step of the LM P2 podium at Le Mans, thanks to Nicolas Lapierre, Matt Howson and Richard Bradley.
