The most anticipated highlight of today's events is the Hyperpole. Twenty-four cars will take off simultaneously for a race against the clock. The Road to Le Mans, Porsche Carrera Cup and Ferrari Challenge competitors will also hit the track.
Drivers will take the wheel for an additonal four hours of free practice, the final opportunity to fine-tune car settings and get acclimated to the challenging circuit before the race. The first session is scheduled from 15:00 to 18:00 and the second from 22:00 to 23:00.
The Hyperpole will see the 24 cars that qualified yesterday (eight Hypercars, eight LMP2s and eight LMGTE Ams) take off in search of the perfect lap. The fastest time within each driver line-up will determine the 24 Hours grid. Competitors may not enter pit lane nor refuel, but they can freely select the tyres of their choice within the limit of their allocation. A ceremony in the pit straight with the pole-sitters is programmed post-Hyperpole. Last year, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid driven by Brendon Hartley clocked the best time of 03:24.408.
The 58 competitors entered in Road to Le Mans will also feel the need for speed in their two qualifying sessions, the first from 12:55 to 13:15 and the second from 13:30 to 13:50. The LMP3s and GT3s will then return to the track for a thrilling Race 1 from 18:30 to 19:25.
All eyes are on Ferrari this year in the Hypercar class certainly, but in the Ferrari Challenge as well. The amateur drivers are keen to make the Italian marque proud throughout their events. They will take part in another free practice between 09:00 and 09:45.
The Porsche Carrera Cup has joined forces with the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia to be one of the four support races at the 24 Hours Centenary. After a first session yesterday, Free Practice 2 is set from 10:55 to 11:40.
The grand 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary exhibition will be open to the public every day of Race Week. The installation highlights 86 outstanding cars: 65 winners and 21 cars that otherwise made history at the 24 Hours. Organised in collaboration with Peter Auto, the exhibition takes visitors through 100 years of history including the evolution of the circuit, records set and major events that marked the race.
The Mille Pattes association, co-organiser with the municipality of Arnage, has really gotten creative with the Arnage dans la course (Arnage in the Race) event this year. The 9th edition will highlight the only turn at the circuit that has never been modified since 1923, the Arnage Corner. Its reproduction, with bales of straw and advertising panels identical to those of the era, will be on display at the esplanade located in front of the Arnage town hall. On the programme as well are vintage cars and two parades in the streets of the city.

It's an epic tale that includes a meteoric rise, millions in sales, era-defining anthems, countless magazine covers, a wardrobe full of white jeans, the Live 8 and a band that was just as explosive offstage as it was on. They came, they conquered, then every member left and disappeared. Yeah, the end really needed some work. In April 2021, Johnny Borrell, Andy Burrows, Björn Ågren and Carl Dalemo announced they'd gotten the band back together for the first time in more than 10 years. And now they're getting ready to hit the stage at the 24 Hours Centenary tonight!
