Here it is! The 95th 24 Hours of Le Mans poster!

Every year, the new 24 Hours of Le Mans poster marks the beginning of another chapter in the history of the great endurance race. The 95th poster places the driver centre stage, like a rock star. Take a look at the poster while you wait for the ticket office to open. The pre-sale starts tomorrow.

designed like a cult record sleeve

Designed like an album cover, the 2027 poster portrays the driver, alone, emerging from the darkness like a rock star entering the stage. The helmet, the light and the contrasts suggest a moment of intense concentration, just like a performer before the curtain goes up.

24 Hours of Le Mans posters have featured a car or cars every year since 1975. So, it’s been over fifty years since the ACO has focused exclusively on the human aspect to promote the race. The driver is not identifiable, not portrayed as a member of a particular team. The figure embodies, all the drivers, men and women, who have shared their destiny with Le Mans.

For the third year running, the ACO entrusted BOLD House with the poster design and enlisted the music industry expertise of Mister Fifou for the photography. The poster is inspired by record sleeves and musicians such as Daft Punk and Michael Jackson. For the first time in the history of the race, the poster is the result of an actual photo shoot, and the photographer’s work, in particular the lighting, produces a cinematographic atmosphere. The design is in keeping with the ACO’s new branding, introduced this year.

No artificial intelligence was employed, as stipulated in the new brand guidelines. Every detail was imagined and orchestrated by real people: the driver’s stance, the light, the contrasts and the composition.

A 24 Hours of Le Mans poster is part of a collection that spans decades. Some record sleeves are cult objects, hung on walls like a piece of art, years after the album release. The same is true of Le Mans race posters.

The current stars of the top class Genesis, Toyota, Ferrari, Peugeot, BMW, Cadillac and Aston Martin are joined by Ford and McLaren, a high-flyer in automotive circles, but a fledgling in Hypercar.

With so many top players in the same league, the 95th 24 Hours of Le Mans, round five of the FIA World Endurance Championship promises to be an edge-of-the-seat event.
